Quote from Jersey Joe Walcott after being asked who hit harder Louis or Marciano: ' Louis was more skilled with combinations and was the greatest finisher in the history of heavyweight boxing, once he had you hurt it was all over. I'd say that in terms of single shots Marciano hit harder, he had no finesse but it was like being hit with a baseball bat.'

    :good:good:good

[Not to mention that in this one, the smaller guy (Robinson) is at least faster and more skilled than the bigger fighter, unlike the Marciano v modern heavyweights matchups]

It is laughable to pick Marciano against the very best SHWs.
It is also a Joke to say he had "less skill than a novice".
Marciano had many subtle skills, awkward & swooing movements, feints, unpredictability, his crouch...
Let alone the skills of great power, heart & endurance.
    And excellent variety of punches.
And when he wanted to a high work rate most all consisting of power punches.

To say he only has a puncher's chance against SRR, who would have little chance & is dramatically outgunned...
    Betrays a Deep *recationary* bias.

Sugar Ray gets a taste of his own medicine, after bullying little Willie Pep years before.
