Robinson, beats Leonard to the punch too often and tags him hard enough to lower Leonard's aggression.
SRL would have to box, or he's getting stopped, so he'd win rounds and last the distance, but lose a 10-5 type decision.

    Robinson 100pcent certain!
He'd take Leonard s best shots with ease and hammer him back. Robbo drops him twice to get a unanimous decision.

Ray Leonard would have an advantage on the inside IMO. I think RL was better defensively.

At mid-range Robinson was deadly with every punch in his arsenal. Sugar Ray Robinson was taller and more powerful. Robinson was slightly faster and more rangy. Those lefthooks would be a problem for any Welterweight. SRR could double and triple them effortlessly. He could get concussive power on even his flurries. It was uncommon.
It may look like a faster crisper version of Norris/Leonard. With one exception. Robinson wouldn't carry Leonard. He would try to drive him into the canvas like a nail.
    Sugar Ray by TKO. 10th.

SRR would decision SRL in an incredibly high class affair imo. I think Leonard could dig deep and keep it close but he would never quite get there under any scenario. I think Leonard would hold his own in the first half of the bout before being steadily and methodically outclassed. It's far from impossible one or even both could see the canvas at some point tho neither would, imo, ever be in serious danger of being stopped.

    SRR say, 9-6 in rounds.

Agreed. And nobody ever did (not that weighed inside the WW limit, anyway).

I'm surprised that that many people have gone for a SRR KO/TKO. I understand picking Robinson to win (I did too) but Leonard had a hell of a good chin at 147. He got wobbled by Duran but recovered quickly and that was about it. He was rock solid at welterweight.
