He retired after his Wilder KO but that bodybuilding BUM fraud dragged him out of retirement then struggled with him.
Always felt bad for him. Got some good wins against Lyakovich and Peter when the Klits sorely needed credible threats, but he had the chronic broken right hand, and the horrific shoulder injury in the Chisora fight. Apparently he took a shot in the throat that that became a terrible injury too. He was always a limited guy, but if he would have sat the Chisora fight out and nursed the injury, he could have had his big moment.
Yeah, he went into the fight with the injury and the promotor pressured him into continuing. He was out for a couple of years and never the same again.
I pulled up the fight. Helenius uses both arms throughout the fight. I can't find anything resembling a fight altering injury.
