if ward were to boil down to 164lb or less then he would loose.

    at 168 ward wins.

Not to be rude but if you seriously think martinez is a true middleweight, and can't tell he's undersized then there's really no point of you an I discussing this lol. The logic I just stated is quite simple and makes sense. And its terribly obvious that martinez is undersized at middle in this day and age. He would look like a damn midget compared to most of the recent middleweight champs like taylor, hopkins, pavlik, ect. He's only at the weight in the first place because he was brought in for pavlik to beat on after he fought williams at the weight because that's where williams fought winky and where he wanted to stay. So he then beats pavlik and hasn't lost since. Doesn't mean he's a true middleweight, which is painfully obvious when watching him fight pavlik, barker, mathew and jr.

And Martinez's size asside, ward has already said he will not/can not go below 168 so your post isn't realistic. It would have to be 168 or no fight... ward has already said this.

If ward wont come down, martinez might as well move up but come in around 163-65 to maintain his speed and reflexes. Other than the dawson tko, ward is quite feather fisted. he gets respect when he lands, but its not hard compared to other top smw.

Martinez would be the first Argentine 3 weight world champ? And at the same time lineal champ at each of them? jmw, mw and smw. Worth going up in weight I reckon.

It's not just that Ward is too big for Martinez. He's too big AND too good.

Ward beats the **** outta Martinez.

Ward/Martinez or Martinez/Floyd...both are good fights IF they can be made but im not holding anything against either fighter....Ward comming down would be uncomfortable, Martinez going up would be uncomfortable.....Martinez going down probaly is best situation but Floyd is not a 154 lb fighter....yes he has won a tittle there but he has not looked smooth or comfortable at the weight either time.

I think one fighter would be giving something up to make these fights and not necessarily being on a even playing field....however i think they possess the skills to maybe overcome those obstacles...they would be great fights if made but if they dont i certainly understand.
