Am I missing something? What is Shane trying to say OR what are the Pac haters trying to extract from it?

Only illegal hand wraps would create the scenario Mosley seems to be describing.

So it is hand wraps or steroids?

Or do steroids increase punching power somehow without increasing physical strength?

Not sure what this is supposed to mean. And when I start hearing what sounds like multiple, random accusations, it starts to look more like character assassination than a legitimate complaint.

Why are the GBP guys so down on Pac? Chummy chummy in the ring but talk **** the second they get a few miles away from him.

If a 9yr old punches you enough times in the face you're going to get bruised! Let alone a power punching pro boxer.

 

If Felix would have landed those amounts of shots on Cotto and Margo, they would not have made it to round six, let's not compare Pac power to Trinidad...

 

Maybe during his lighter days but since Pac moved up in weight, his KO % has dropped. It's not Pac's fault that Mosley was old as **** when they fought and Mosley went down. It's not Pac's fault Hatton doesn't have any ****ing defense and what's worse was that he had Floyd Sr. in his corner. It's not Pac's fault Cotto went down because he became careless.

The mentioned fighters above went down because they didn't see the punch coming. It is true that the punch that will hurt the most is the one that you don't see coming. Pac is fast and he's also a very good southpaw. That is a lethal combination.

To me, one punch ko power means the opponent is not going to decide to start running because he doesn't want to take any more punches. He's already knocked out when he realizes that.

And every welter+ opponent Pac has had was able to make that decision to run after being dropped early.

He showed a lot of power with the Hatton punch, but he hasn't hit anyone like that since. Lots of tougher chins than Hatton's that he's going to be going up against, so don't count on it.

 

PEDS dont help a punch is my theory.

PEDS help in muscular motions such as lifting or sprinting- where a primary muscle motion is needed, a burst of power.

but punching involves so much more than that- flexibility, technique, balance, accuracy, SNAP, etc.

its like saying PEDS will help you shoot a basketball better- people think punching is a power thing- its not- its the things i ve noted above. how many times have i seen a big muscular guy enter the gym- and be basically pushing the bag with his punches, then a small flyweight with skinny arms, come in and snap the **** out of it with his hooks. obviously if all things are equal- the bigger you are - or the stonger you are- the better, but it seldom works like that. there is a such thing as being too muscular in boxing. its why boxers seldom develop their chests to the degree of other athletes, it impedes the range of motion they need for optimum swing- like a swimmer.

my point is- manny dosent overwhelm people with his punching power - its his punching speed and reflexes. he snaps into them like a whip, as opposed to a bat.

At ww I'm going to give Mosely as number 10

Pac is 7

His speed is 9 though, you dont see the punch coming and BOOM you're down

You're definitely going to get bruised. Run and you won't get KO.

 

He throws so many punches, so quick from so many angles and he has this "snap" to his shots, he often bounces round in the ring like a hyperactive kid, all over the ****in' place. Add that southpaw stance which bothers some fighters more than others granted, but its the shots you don't see coming that hurt you and he throws shots like that soooo often it all adds up.

Maybe he is on PEDS, but i rekon he's just developed into a mini juggernaught over the last 3-4 years, Arizas conditioning, Roachs sound gameplans anyone would improve considerably under that after numerous camps (see Khan).

I'm still team Floyd though, he's black so Pacman is ****ed, Mosley is nearly old enough for a **** sack attached to him nowadays...

 

Did Shane watch the in-the-ring closeup of the punch Pac sent him down with on the final fight camp 360? It was delivered at incredible velocity, the power it hit with would've been immense. Mosley was lucky he had the chin he had, or he'd have been KO'd right there. Pac puts everything behind his punches, hell he even jumps off the ground to throw them. Mosley ain't ever fought anyone like that. He should STFU and take his defeat like a man. His woman seems to have pussified him, so much that it seems a disgrace to even think he was once called a "black mexican"
