“I would like to congratulate Manny on his victory Saturday night even though I think it put most of the fans watching to sleep. Now it’s time for the world to focus on May 1 when I promise you nobody will be sleeping except for Floyd after I knock him out and send him back into retirement. Maybe if Floyd comes back a second time, he and Manny will fight one day, but it will only be for the opportunity to fight me again:, the man who beat both of them.”

Sounds out of character, but good on Shane selling the fight.

Definitely wasn't Manny's fault. Imagine if Mosley fought Clottey. Clottey would probably win a snoozefest

Floyd will beat him then Shane will disappear again....although I would like for him to KO money may, but it wont happen, the guy is too old.

Wait til Floyd starts backpedalling at 100mph on fight night... Mosley will be as frustrated as PACQUIAO then.. ;D

Shane needs not look for a ko or he won't get one. Early bodywork and cutting off the ring will do him wonders though I never have to worry about him not doing bodyshots.

As much as I love Shane I have to say, is he not a bit overrated?

His adaptability is equal to nill, never once have I seen him adapt well in the ring and fight differently, he goes in with a gameplan and executes it, anything beyond it and he looks confused. The way Vernon put that jab and right hand on him and he resorted back to tripple- jabbing with the technically adept boxer in Vernon. Against Winky he actually hit a wall and couldnt figure Winky out, but no shame in that as Winky was bigger and just better in most areas at the time.

I really question his adaptability, Vernon put the jab on him, so did Winky, and I expect Floyd to put a jab on him.

Why would it be any different now?

Oscar had him frustrated as hell in their 2nd fight. He doesn't fight well against a guy backpeddling and countering. He fights best when his opponent is moving forward and standing in the pocket trading with him. Obviously Floyd will not be doing that

Nice classy trash talk on Shane's part. Shane will show up and work hard. The fight won't be eventful, but not from Shane's lack of trying.
