Because instead of having his father in his corner (who never knew what to do when things weren't going Shane's way) he now has a world class trainer in Naz Richardson. Also, I think you're selling Mosley a little short in terms of adaptability. I'm not saying Shane is a master of adaptability. As I already stated, I think the lack of a good corner caused some of his perceived shortcomings on that front, but beyond that--he changed things up against Cotto and De La Hoya (both fights) which enabled him to perform much better in the later rounds of those three fights. He also performed much better in his rematches with Forrest and Winky despite losing to both. I would also like to add that Winky and Vernon were both much bigger and stronger than Floyd.
This is why noone takes your opinion seriously!!!! The main event was just as boring as all the other fights that night. What a joke of a statement. Can you name me 5 highlights from the main event??? Was there even any highlights from that fight???:-(
I didn't think the main event was boring. Ruiz-Oquendo was boring, Wlad-Ibragimov was boring, but I certainly would not put Pacquiao-Clottey in that category. It was uneventful, maybe, but I enjoyed watching it. Pacquiao once against displayed why he's the best pound for pound talent in the sport.
That fight was like watching the X Files. Every few weeks or so the tension would keep building. Just when it looked like Mulder was about to tap that? Then some BS would happen and it go back to zero. Damn! Every round Clottey would cut off the ring. Pac would start slowing down a bit and dropping his guard. Right when he threw a couple connecting shots? Bang, bang, bang, bang! Ten seconds. Round over. Start from zero.
Either Shane is just selling the fight or Floyd really did get in his head. The first possibility changes nothing, the second one proves Floyd is already winning. Shane doesn't trash talk, outside of the Vargas fights I don't remember him really trash talking anyone so why all of a sudden? its because Floyd is getting to him making him come out of character and if that is the case, Floyd will press the gas going into fight night and by the time the fight starts Shane won't hear anything Richardson is telling him, let alone figure out the hidden Buddha lessons and ****.
Floyd ain't getting to ****! Mosley is obviously believes he is going to **** Floyd up--and he is. This will be a mismatch of surprising order. Mosley is going to own Floyd. :smoke
