I've got Shane Mosley. He was an impressive physical package at lightweight, and it was a little high up for Arguello.

    I agree with Shake.......
Mosley would be stronger, he had monstrous power at LW.....his workrate was pretty good as well, I think because of those things he would beat Arguello by decision, 8 rounds against 4 .....something like that....

Arguello takes over in mid rounds and wears down Mosley for a decision win.

I think Alexis takes a close decision over Shane.

Mosley was never that 'great' at 135 IMO, and really came into his own at Welter.

Here, he's too straight on and Arguello bangs him out if that's the game they're playing. Just the flat-out better fighter, Shane has the edge in handspeed but Alexis can come through and get his timing down to smack the always hittable Shane enough to force a stoppage.

Great fight though. They'd both come to bang but Arguello was much better at it at 135.

Who was Shanes best opponent there, Holiday? 'Cause he didn't look all that great there.

Arguello takes it down the stretch. It's not like Mosley's style would be particularly troubling for him to figure out, and once Shane started eating those right hands it could be another choke-job on his part. Then again maybe I'm just being cynical. Mosley was typically better off against this type of fighter then the more pure-boxing types. Still, I'd pick Arguello to get the better of the late work to win out a close decision.

I really don't think Alexis is capable of hurting Mosley, at least not seriously. If Pryor walked through his best, Mosley would as well. I just don't like the size difference here for Arguello. He almost certainly lands the cleaner shots throughout, but the bigger & faster Mosley is able to take them just fine and generally outland him. He probably just outmuscles and outspeeds Arguello to a decision, not that he isn't capable of rocking Arguello himself.

    I doubt that.

Shane is allot faster, Arguello has the straighter punches and better timing. Both have defences largely reliant on their offence. I think the difference here though is Shane's faster feet that would allow him to dictate the distance and use angles to get off those combinations of his. I think he has the better body attack too. It could well be a war but I just see Mosley landing far more and I see him as better than Pryor (a much better puncher for 1 thing) so I'll go with him by a late or mid rounds KO

Pryor would've bullied Shane in school.

I'd say DLH and Forest were hitting harder at WW than Arguello at LW.

Mayweather was landing at will with right hands and still couldn't score a K.O.

Not that I'm comparing Floyd and Alexis power...
