Hard to pick anyone against Duran at 135- Leonard and Williams perhaps? Sugar Shane has the handspeed to trouble Roberto, but is far less proven at 135. Still gotta go with Duran.
Duran big, though Shane looked his best at lightweight, Duran still a different animal then anything Shane has seen. Duran within 10 rds.
Close, hard fight. Duran by a few points. Shane's speed and offensive output at 135 will challenge anyone. Shane really had a killer instinct at 135, his round outside body punches had real impact and he actually jabbed with authority unlike the 147, 154 pound pawing version. Duran has the chin and can handle this fight wherever it goes and if it gets ugly (i.e. a slugfest) I like his chances even more. But I see both guys having trouble taking consecutive rounds from the other. Duran's ring IQ and ability to control the pace of this fight shades it.
Both SRL & Benetiz had success going to Duran's body....and body punching was Shane forte'. Duran by decision, but no cake-walk.
Shane Mosely is ridiculously under rated in general let alone at 135 where he was a monster and could have stayed if the money was there .. he would be far better than anyone Duran fought below 147 ..he had speed, strength, stamina, an iron chin and a on of heart not to mention his own power .. I give Duran the edge but it would be a tough fight ..
I don't really think Duran has a style that would take Mosley out of his comfort zone. I'm not sold on Shane winning at all; I think he'd lose. He fought a line-up of bums at 135 so I'll just assume he'd lose in a war. If Mosley who showed up in the first DLH fight caught Duran in an off night at 147, it could be a different story.
