I think Shane @ 147 is a fast hard hitting fighter a test that Floyd has never had....Floyd should get back there is big money waiting...I think SSM can do it...THoughts

shane's big strength is his speed and power - but his footwork isn't good.

still, i agree this could be an interesting fight.

This would be a great fight, but I think Floyd would outbox him.

    Mosley can be outboxed.

Theres nothing wrong with Shanes footwork. The problem is Shane is easy to hit because his offense IS his defense. That being said he poses Floys stylistically alot of problems as he is equally as quick with rapier combinations. Anyway this is all moot as Floyd isnt coming back.

floyd will not fight shane...its too great of a risk and floyd does not want to see a loss on his record. Floyd has the talent to beat shane but he just will not take the risk.

On a side note, i think SSM has proven that as a nearly 16 year pro that his he should be ranked higher than MAYWEATHER on the all time P4P lists. Although he might not be as slick as a boxer, he is overall the better fighter who takes on greater risks and always made exciting fights. SSM has added to sport of boxing during his era while floyd mayweather takes away from boxing and the integrity of the sport.

They don't wanna go - all they want is their stinking bucks and fights such as Baldomir, Hatton, Pac, listen, Shane is not gonna stand and take aim at a man who disrespects himself by cashing on WWE events and retire/unretire and basically run. So let's see who's coming after who - I say Berto comes on, PW comes on and Shane takes it, someone else stays at home and watches it and wrestling events.

floyd will come back, i'll bet my house on it.
but i won't bet it being against mosley.

i meant to say shane's footwork isn't good compared to floyd's, and it isn't. but that doesn't mean shane's speed and power won't cause floyd trouble. they certainly can.

shane would come into the Pac fight at 147 weighing 160lbs like he did against Margarita. Pacquaio would be blasted. He would be fighting a real boxer, not a part time underweight boxer like Oscar de la Hoya.

As for Shane vs Floyd now. I always think Shane and Tito were the only Welters that could beat Floyd over the last 10 years. however, the Shane of today would be outboxed by Floyd just like he was outboxed by Cotto. Shane was able to dominate Margarita because he stands right in front of you.

oscar and shane were close to being dead even in their earlier days. the only difference imo shane has definitely aged better. just because he is past his prime doesn't mean he can't beat elite fighters anymore. floyds speed and defense is what sets him apart from most fighters, but shane would be a nightmare for floyd. i think castillo beat floyd clearly the first time and there is nothing shane can't do that castillo could plus he's just as fast as floyd. i think floyd could probably hurt shane, but not like shane would hurt floyd. floyd would run from shane and staying on the ropes would work against him. floyd had a hard time with oscar, he'll have his hands full with shane. mosley SD12 mayweather, jr
