Since he apparently isn't done fighting yet, I personally still think he can beat many fighters out there. As bad as that sounds, I think his level of talent now still exceeds many current fighters. I could see Mosley vs. Cotto rematch as close, Mosley vs. Berto as close, Mosley vs. Khan as close, Mosley vs. Cinnamon too if all of these could be at 147.
He's obviously a shell of what he once was, but it was obvious he was scared out of his mind to be KO'd by Manny. I don't believe he feared being KO'd by Mayweather, or Cotto and I don't see him worried about Khan, Cinnamon, or Berto.
Cotto isn't the same fighter he once was (just like Mosley) but I still say he UD's Mosley easier than the first time... Berto gasses just like Mosley so this would be the closest of all the fights, 50/50 imo...this is the only fight he can win... Khan by wide UD... Cinnamon by wide UD...
Good point. People are clasping at straws here with Mosley. He obviously can't pull the trigger anymore which means he's done as a force in boxing.
Mosley vs Margarito rematch would.be interesting. Mosley took a downward spiral since his loss to Floyd. 2yrs earlier that fight might of been upset of the decade. If Shane takes on Canelo or Khan itll look like Calzaghe vs Jones.
Shane is done for, Sergio Mora lost his next fight to journeyman Brian Vera....come on man Mosley woulda killed Mora a couple years ago especially a shopworn Mora that lost to shitty Brian Vera. Mosley has no fighting heart, needs to quit and stop embarassin his legacy
He had a promotion gig with Golden Boy that he threw out to get the millions for the Pac fight. Probably made more that way but time to retire. I have a really bad suspicion that Mosley is going to be the RJJ type that doesnt know when to quit.
Believe it or not, I think he can still beat the crap out of "come forward" fighters. It's the boxers that have always and will continue to give him problems so you have to ask yourself what his real motivation is. If it's Legacy, then he'll either retire now(preferred) with his reputation intact or work his way back into the fray with 2-3 impressive wins against name fighters at JMW who are tailor made for him( Margo, Berto, Williams, Mayorga, Gomez, etc.) with sights on setting up a title fight with one of the belt holders at 154(Canelo, Cotto, Angulo?). The problem with this gameplan is that he may only have 2-3 decent performances left so he doesn't have the time at this point in his career to string wins together or set up fights. If I were him I'd probably retire but if he really needs the money(can't see how) then I'd challenge Angulo with the idea of taking on Cotto or Canelo for the title soon after.
