Last night on the Countdown to Cotto Mosley they showed Sugar Shane's son working out in Big Bear with his dad. Now, I've read other places that Shane is preparing his son for the olympics, and from there a pro career. My question is, based on what you guys saw of Shane's son, does he have the talent to make the olympics and have a good pro career?

But, based on what you saw of him training, if you didn't know who his dad is, would you think he had talent? He did not look special to me, but I might not be able to tell young talent. I definately don't thing he is good enough to make the olympics. Did you see the show?

He looked like he had the potential to become a decent amateur fighter. Olympics? Way too early to tell. He hasn't even had 1 amateur fight yet.

The son rarely emulates the greatness of his father.

His son didn't seem to be anything special now.. No wonder, he hasn't had 1 amateur fight. But yeah, haveing a world class fighter for a dad and a world class boxers trainer for a grandfather should make him pretty good :D I don't think he'll be as good as Sr. but if he keeps it up he will have a pretty good career.

The kid looked too old. usually elite boxers start from a very young age.
