yeah, but you miss the point. the goal is to challenge geale in his home country, in front of his countrymen, after doing to mundine, what he failed to do. that would draw geale out. it would also give geale the opportunity of taking that big fight, here in oz, instead of overseas.:deal
HBO want Golovkin-Geale in the states and if it happens thats where it will be, read Harold Lederman's tweet from earlier today. I think the suits at HBO are already working on this for late this year.
id rather it here for geales sake. the fight can be beamed live to the states. some decent promotional work would have a big crowd, ppv etc. but i still think GGG koing mundine is a great set up for the fight to be local. otherwise, it goes to the states.....:verysad
have you watched GGG fight? i dont think he has fought anyone decent (like what geale has done) his style is sorta tailor made for mundine (mundine of the past)
yes i have seen footage on youtube. ive looked at his record. thats why i think if geale is going to fight GGG, he shoulddo it soon. GGG is going to become a serious weapon. but right now, hes vulnerable to a bloke like geale that will outwork him, has plenty of pro exopperience, and is match fit to the tune of 60 rounds of world title fights against quality opossition. take the fight soon rather than later. martinez can wait, as he is getting older. timing. picking fights is all about timing. 3 years ago mundine beat geale. 3 years later geale schools him. timing.
Geale-Golovkin on a wednesday night in Sydney, world middleweight unification on at what 5 am US time live on HBO, on a WEDNESDAY!! You haven't thought this out Whether you like it or not, HBO are knee deep in the middleweight division and they don't want out until there is clarity. And what HBO wants, they gets!
it would be on a sunday oz time. sat night US. not sure of the time differences or HBO time slots, but anything is possible.
They did that for Geale-Karmazin if im not mistaken ? Yeah, good point. In theory yes, GGG beating Mundine in Australia does make the public there more aware of him. But you know it isn't going to happen. When Anthony rests his deluded little mind on his pillow tonight and his thoughts are just that, his own, he will know its over. He can't pull the trigger, his legs are gone, can't get out of the way of punches he would of done easily a few years ago.
its ironic that this fight has raised mundines profile overseas, and raised geales locally. they still need eachother. mundine could provide a way for geale to continue having WT fights in oz without going overseas. mundine vs GGG IN OZ. GGG to call out geale ringside. geale to fight chavez jr in the meantime in the states. geale comes home to a unification fight with GGG AT HOME, wins and never has to fight overseas again. daniel has to fight GGG sometime. better now than later.
GGG would be looking at Geale as his toughest fight out there. Personally I've always thought GGG dismantles the middleweight division, Martinez included. But I think with Geale's continued improvement and his sound technical skills, will give GGG a few problems, Geale moves in and out so well and has better feet than GGG, so therefore Daniel could dictate that fight.
