Sullivan Barrera is Andre Ward hardest fight of his career (more details)

As I said in the other post, Ward's position p4p is in dispute. I've seen people not want to rank him, want to rank him, it's all over the place.

And no, other than crazy trolls, no one is demanding Golovkin move up. He can stay at 160 lbs. the rest of his career.

This is Ward's first fight at the full LHW limit. I think he deserves credit for fighting a guy like Barrera who is ranked within the top 15.

I have only watched Barrera vs. Lee Campbell so far, I wasn't impressed. I expected that would be much easier for Barrera to take out that guy.

Agree with the weight limit. Although, both fighters weighted the same, 172 on their last fight. I think Ward could be bigger at the fight night..

Barrera will at least throw a punch. Something Paul Smith didn't do.

 

Ward handles and beats Barrera who is the least threat to Ward at LHW.
He also beats Fonfara, Beterbiev and Cleverly.

Kovalev and maybe Stevenson are the only real challenges for Ward at LHW and either of those will easily be the year's most interesting fights.

 

The stoppage in that Barrera vs Murat fight was horrible. Murat took a couple shots, but didn't seem in trouble.

 

To be fair, Rigo did beat Ramos who was the undefeated WBA Champion whether you think he's garbage or not..

 

Barrera is going to whip that ass.
