Sullivan Barrera is Andre Ward hardest fight of his career (more details)

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by eltirado, Jan 29, 2016.

  1. Barrera is a flat footed BUM, A BUM!1

He don't bring nothing to the table, he's a corpse.

Ward's fans trying to build him up to be some kind of threat so ward gets more credilbility for stepping in the ring with a body bag.

Kessler was a very good 168, weight class

Sullivan Barrera is an Undefeated natural Light Heavyweight, something Andre Ward has never faced before :think

He might be. But atm he's still nothing more as a only partially tested LHW prospect.
But, he probably is Ward's hardest fight since the Super 6

I agree, Barrera is probably Ward's hardest fight since the Super 6, but that doesn´t say much. Barrera seems a good contender, but I can´t see anything that indicates he could be even close as good as Kessler or Froch. He isn´t as active as Kessler or Froch, his footwork doesn´t match with Kessler. And that tells a lot - Kessler had pretty average footwork. You need to have good balance and footwork against Ward, otherwise Ward will smother you. And that is what will happen tomorrow. Ward will fight negative and passively for the first 6rds and when Barrera is totally frustrated and lost his game plan, Ward will start to show some flashy moves (Although, doing little damage). This will be boring as hell! Mark my words.

Whats whit the undefeated? Why does it matter?
His record will not make him a better fighter.

Boxrec ranks Barrera #23. He might not be even top15 LHW.

U are funny :D Just that his name reminds you Marco Antonio Barrera, it doesn´t make him a world beater. Actually if you use some time and make your own research, U find quit easily that even Wade (#11) is ranked two times higher than Barrera. I truly hope u get the picture:thumbsup

I agree this fight won't be easy for ward I expect him to pull it out but it will be close 8-4 type of fights maybe even 7-5. This is wards first fight at 175 and Barrera is a quality operator.

What are those attributes that makes him a quality operator?

    His nationality?
    He is trained by Abel?
    He looks athletic?
He beat Karo Murat (2015 version)?
He beat Jeff Lacy (2015 version)?
He hits hard if he lands?
His ranking - Boxrec ranks him #23?
    His surname?
    Did I miss something?

Bute, Groves, DeGale? Really. Ward is on another level than these 3. Bute had his ass kicked vs Froch, and Ward won an easy UD over Froch. Groves' only chance is to land a lucky punch, skillwise Ward is 2-3 levels better. I can't see DeGale have any chance. He is a better boxer than Froch and Groves, but don't have the same KO power. And Ward is just a better boxer, simple. Are you english?
