What the ****'s wrong with these people, how can you live in a foreign country for like a decade without learning the language. at least the basics ?

I've managed to pick up a ton of basic Spanish words by being around them, it seems a little something should rub off on them.:conf

English's not my native language and I've never taken english classes either, i've learnt by myself through internet and media exposure alone, so how can these guys LIVE in an english speaking country without learning ****?

It's like they don't want to. Like deep inside they despise murica and its language and would rather live elsewhere, but they can't

That's why I have a lot of respect for these Euro fighters. They come here and learn English because they have to.
My fellow Latino's live in the States for years and don't even try to learn English.
Personally, it doesn't bother me because I don't mind reading subtitles. But most people do want to see these guys learn the language

Look at guys like GGG, Kovalev, Gvozdyk, Khytrov. They've all learned English in a few years. Lomachenko has to learn if he wants to become somewhat of star. That goes for any fighter that wants to make it big in America.
Unless you're Mexican or Puerto Rican nobody has a built in audience.
Meanwhile, most Hispanic fighters, for example, most Cuban and Mexican fighters don't even bother learning English. Even fighters Like Canelo who has a lot of money doesn't even bother getting a teacher/tutor? Yeah, they know a few things here and there but nothing big.

When it was announced that Beterbiev would pair of with the highest rated willing fighter in the IBF rankings in an eliminator, I knew it would likely end up being Barrera after thinking it through. Either him or Edwin Rodriguez. This is a very good match up Barrera ain't no mug and he can punch with both hands. He struggled a bit in his last fight against Hakim Zoulikha but Zoulikha was teak-tough and as game as they come. I think I recall him hurting Barrera at least once in the fight, although I only saw it the once when it was broadcast live and I can't find a copy of the full fight online anywhere to see that was the case. That said, Barrera was the one dishing out a real beating in that fight. It was painful to watch at times. If Zoulikha did hurt him it obviously doesn't bode well for his chances against a fighter with savage power like Beterbiev though.

Yes he did. He beat Beibut Shumenov twice, once via 2nd round stoppage, and as you say, he also beat Chad Dawson too (21-11).

Here's what he said about the Dawson fight.

Q:You had over 300 amateur fights. What would you say was your best win as an amateur?

A: ''I almost sent Chad Dawson to the morgue. I beat the **** out of “Bad Chad”

I added the last two rounds on the front page of the Zoulihka fight, I think the shot that hurt Barrera was in round 6 which they show highlights of at the beginning of the clip going into the 7th.

Hard to tell if that was where he hurt Barrera (or where I thought he might have hurt him) from that footage. I think Barrera was kind of surprised at the toughness of Zoulikha and it made him uncomfortable at times. That said, he nearly got Zoulikha out of there in the second round and it was only Zoulikha's heart and durability that enabled him to hang in there for as long as he did.

Plus he was going backwards and kind of off balance when Zoulihka hit him with that shot. We shouldn't read too much into it.
