I'll be surprised if this one goes the distance. It may well do but I expect either Barrera will make Smith pay for his porous defence and get him out of there early or in the mid rounds, or if Smith does have a chin and he's able to hang around and land with his own bombs he'll catch Barrera with something big and blast him into Bolivian. My gut feeling when the fight was announced was that it'll be the former. I also think Derick Santos is a better fit as a trainer for Barrera than Sanchez was.

Very surprise to see most the people picking the construction worker over Barrera.

Barrera late KO, impressed with him in his last couple of fights, move to a new trainer paid off.

Barrera went down both against Ward and Shabranskyy, and also I remember that he took a pretty hard clean punch from Paul Parker. So, why he possesses a way better technique then Joe Smith, he may sometimes be irresponsible. I wouldn't be shocked if Smith knocks him out early in the fight.

But, other than that, if it goes distance, Barrera should win.

I'm shaking my head so Barrera took a clean punch from Paul what's is this? a chess game this is boxing you take one and dish one, any body who picks the part time boxer (Smith) over a seasoned Barrera is for a big disappointment.

Well if you think a part time construction worker could beat a guy with better pedigree is fine just a reminder don't go to the fridge Barrera is capable of finishing him very quick.
