Sullivan Barrera vs Karo Murat is finalized after Beterbiev pulled out due to injury. Winner will be Kovalev's mando. If Barrera wins there's a good possibility he will fight Kovalev before summer as they are under the same promoter. I think this is a pretty good fight and I believe Barrera will be one of Kovalev's hardest opponents to date. Meanwhile Yunieski Gonzalez will be facing Vyacheslav Shabranskyy one week later on 12/19. I don't know how WBC ranks them but the winner could be a superb opponent for Stevenson. Overall a great month for LHW December will be. Thoughts?
I'm happy its been switched to Murat, Mikhalkin is decent but I'm not sure if his chin is top notch, whereas Murat has quite a good beard and we can see how good Barrera's power really is.
