Don’t play coy. Defend your position. Subtract all of those who weren’t heavyweights , then subtract those with less than five M of Q fights … tell me who’s left and how you rate them as competition to gage Sullivan as a M of Q fighter.

Heavyweights were defined differently in different eras and you know that. For example, John L. Sullivan would have been accused of ducking Mitchell if he had never fought him, just as Dempsey is accused of ducking Greb to this day. As I have said numerous times now, I do not know their complete records, and with Sullivan I have no solid position to defend. Box Rec does not either. You evidently do, so you tell me who for sure had less than 5 MOQ fights. It is cool having someone call me shy, though. I usually get the opposite in face to face life. :D

I never saw the man outside of him woefully hitting a bag. I suppose he was good brawler in his day, but not much of a boxer. No jab, no defense, limited north and south movement. Outside of a puncher's chance , he have none vs. the best of the 1930's
