For what its worth, as the years have passed, I see William Miller as a lot better than what i originally thought. Probably Farnan as well, although more substantiating than improving. He was gone by the time of the Lees Loss (who doesnt seem to have been all that good. Certainly unlikely to sneak into any top 10 list of the era. ). if anyone is interested, here is pretty good article i just read which has quite a few fights not listed on CBZ or probaly boxrec (i havent checked). Also, George Godfrey is underated for the period simply because he fought too often too long after his prime. He was a lot better.
