if he came back he could still make some good money.

Jeff Mayweather ruined his style. He was a pretty exciting fighter before Mayweather turned him into strictly a counter puncher.

I still don't understand that asinine strategy they had for the Wlad fight. His only chance was to go all out and pressure Wlad like Sanders did.

Before he even signed to fight Klitschko, it was pretty well-known that he was contemplating retirement.

Exactly.... it's a shame he retires so early, but it's his right.

He's got pretty good reflexes, stamina, handspeed, technique and a solid chin. Could be a worthy addition to the division if he went back to his old, aggressive style.

With all the boxers who are dying, I hope Sultan enjoys a long, happy retirement (damn, a millionaire, really?)

He said he was going to retire if he ever lost, he's a man of his word. Really old news.

    Good luck Sultan!

I appreciated having him around to make things a little more interesting in this stinky post Lewis era.

Funny thing, I always thought Sultan could have been, and could be, a lot better. He had that agrresive style that he used to take out Whitiker, but it got him in trouble against Friday and Austin. Then he switched to the boxer mode and beat Briggs and Holy. Imagine if he came back and tried to combine those styles, picking and choosing to adapt ot the opponent.

But, its not be. Bon voyage, and thanks for the memories.

He was a good fighter & he retired with all his senses still intact. He's entitled to a happy retirement.
