Had this fight happened instead of the Liakhovich fight, how do you see it going?

I think Sultan would’ve gotten the stoppage by round nine or ten. Brewster had a chin on him and some nasty power himself. But I think Sultan’s hand speed and being a southpaw would be bad recipe for Brewster and he’d be getting cracked with shots he wouldn’t see coming all night. Lamon would have moments too but one thing about Sultan is his chin was incredibly sturdy.

    Sultan by stoppage late.

I like Brewster but Sultan was just a much better fighter.

I can see Ibragimov taking this in a slightly more competitive version of Ibragimov-Briggs. Sultan would be able to outbox him from the outside, and would be disciplined enough to stick to the game plan. Ibragimov's footwork & defense would make it difficult for Brewster to get off more than a punch of two at a time. Ibragimov by a fairly wide UD.

Last time I actually attended a boxing event, Sultan Ibragimov-Najee Shaheed was on the card. Ibragimov was rocked badly in the first round, but rebounded to stop Shaheed in 3. Always found it surprising that Najee Shaheed, of all people, probably had Ibragimov in the worst trouble he'd been in throughout his career...including vs. Briggs, Wlad, and a few other notable Heavyweights of the day.

I think that real bad knee of Brewster would not let him catch this guy. Get outboxed from the outside and just plod after Sultan and drops a lopsided decision. Hardly an optimal match for Lamon.

I don't think Brewster would be stopped but he would lose. Sultan is just simply a much better boxer.

Should be noted that by that time, Sultan had chronic hand problems. The real Sultan, the one that blew out Whitiker, might have stopped Lamon.
