Coveney comes barging in with his compact little frame tensed up and blasting with right jabs and overhand lefts. Dilmaghani uses his height and superior footwork to stay off his path while trickling out his own right jab as a scoring tool more than a means of inflicting damage. Coveney is throwing the harder stuff by far but is unable to get most of it off cleanly. Very good show of controlled aggression by Coveney, but not enough to take the round as Dilmaghani is too skillful boxing in reverse. The taller man needs to stay off those ropes, though - because some of those hard combos are apt to knock his skinny limbs aside at some point and he can't continue to bank on winning with just a few timid jabs landed.

As a 4-rounder, this must be near over by now.

Dilmaghani vs. Coveney had the makings of an intriguing clash of styles: the cut-from-brick little pressure machine vs. the athletic but fragile-looking finesse boxer. Shame. It seems we're probably missing it altogether.

BTW, it said "Peacock" on Coveney's trunks - is that his ring nickname, or is that free promotion for the famed Peacock Gym of his native London?

Spence comes in with drumroll combos out of his orthodox stance, pressuring very casually. The much scrawnier looking Catchpole is hovering just out of reach with his right cocked up and ready to jab. Little flurry by Catchpole as he circles rapidly around Spence. Good southpaw 1-2 by the ginger. Spence bangs him to the body. Really nice body shots by Spence, actually. Hard thudding right uppercuts curling around the back. Catchpole holds, then bounces away on the break. Short right hook lands softly for Catchpole before he clinches again as Spence is looking to dig back to the body. Lots of holding now.
