    Round 2

O'Meara is still controlling the match with his jab, and scratching at Lowe's brow with a short hook delivered just off the jab as he circles past him. O'Meara looks very comfortable in there, just skirting around in a loop and landing the jab as he pleases. Lowe doesn't seem to have a plan B, and I'm not sure there was even an A.

    20-18 O'Meara

The sound is 4-5 seconds ahead of the picture. :/

That sort of takes out the drama. If you hear a big collective "GASP", seeing the big punch a few moments later doesn't carry quite the same impact for you.

    Round 3

O'Meara is just toying with him, switching southpaw and squatting down for some target practice on the body of Lowe. Now O'Meara begins to stand in and put together combos that rock the head of Lowe. Very nice work by O'Meara, constantly moving and always picking up his work rate just in time to keep Lowe from feeling he has a chance to get in. Lowe is missing very slow hooks and overhand rights, due both to his own pitiful molasses-laden delivery and some quick-leaning moves by O'Meara.

Another very easy round for the Middlesex man.

    Round 4

O'Meara is landing with both hands now, using the jab to set up whatever he likes with the right (straights, looping shots, long-traveling whistlers from underneath). O'Meara is keeping Lowe tripping over himself trying to spin around to face him properly, and is tapping him with irritating left hooks to the coxal bone. O'Meara jabs and extends himself into a quick flurry without Lowe so much as lifting his gloves before O'Meara has finished his work and shuffled back outside. Lots of movement by O'Meara, bouncing.

    40-36 Steve O'Meara.

Set for 8. We're halfway there (the KO doesn't seem like it's coming).

After this is a 10-rounder, and then the main event.

    Round 5

O'Meara is now scooping nicely to the body with either fist, all while keeping his head down and pulling out immediately when he isn't actively landing - not giving Lowe any chances to catch him with something stupid. O'Meara is boxing brilliantly against a very limited foe, mixing evasive tactics with clinching and counter-punching as needed to keep Lowe constantly shelled up under fire or missing very widely. O'Meara is taking some breaks in the clinches, though - with Lowe's misses coming nearer.

    50-45 SOM

    Round 6

O'Meara is stepping off to the side as Lowe comes at him in slow and predictable straight lines, tagging him with good solid right hands. Here's a jab/uppercut/left hook combo by O'Meara. Lowe is taking his lumps like a man but offering nothing really, just forward motion and the appearance of trying to swat a fly with fingers fanned. O'Meara cracks him with three consecutive straight right leads to the face, and Lowe's neck impersonates a hooker's bedspring for a few long moments as the crowd oohs and ahhs. O'Meara is unloading on the guy and can't seem to make much of an impression.

O'Meara is abit pittter patter, some power in the overhand right will get Lowe in alot of trouble.

    Round 7

O'Meara catches some slow rushes with his right forearm held out vertically to use as a mallet, and then works his jab and hook while spacing back out. Another triplet of quick rights to the jaw as Lowe keeps coming. The crowd begins to stamp its feet and chant something. They are disappointed as the action doesn't heat up any. O'Meara keeps strolling about Lowe, popping him with a little bit of everything. He strays a bit close and Lowe gets him with one softly clubbing right but there's not as much drama to it as the suddenly loud reaction would have you believe. O'Meara leans in from the outside, lands body shots and pulls back out without taking a lick. Now Lowe starts to really pay careful attention and is able to time him with a couple of those clubbing right hand wacky noodles. Relatively good finish to the round by Lowe, but he's still getting shut out.
