SUMMER SMASH: Jackson Asiku vs. Choi Tseveenpurev RBR

Yeah, it seems as though he can't figure out that simply letting his feet touch the ground for more than a half second and sitting down on his shots assisted by gravity could help him tremendously.

 

Round 8

O'Meara ducks and dodges as Lowe comes in pouring hard overhand rights and sabre-rattle lefts at him. O'Meara is getting clipped a bit, trying to get cute on the outside and rolling with some shots but allowing Lowe to get in far more touches than he's been accustomed to. Now a big exchange as they spin together in close, and again the noise makes it out to be more than it is. O'Meara dances around and jabs. Lowe blocks an uppercut and hook on his guard, and leans in to work some soft body shots.

I'll give that to Lowe. :conf He tried (finally) and made some contact while O'Meara mostly cruised.

Round 1

Asiku jabs at the shorter Choi, moving in quick enough circles and with frequent enough changes in direction that he's nearly bumping into the ref. Choi is trying to place him with long jabs but mostly just turning and blocking as Asiku pops his jab from long range. HUGE right from Choi over an Asiku jab, just grazes. Asiku is just barely getting out of the way of some absolute bombs as Choi really opens up springing forward. Thing settle back down, and Asiku resumes control with his jab. Choi digs a right to the body but doesn't get much leverage on it as his foot is placed a little wide taking him off balance as he throws. Shoeshine by Choi, blocked. Asiku is all about the jab, but scoring with it. Choi now puts up his guard to keep the jab out, and bobs on the outside looking for openings. Asiku stays moving and starts to slice some hooks in between his jabs.

Round 2

Choi is stepping up his aggression, looping in with left hooks and high arching rights. Lots of hooking combos from Choi as he tries to plaster Asiku to the ropes or corners. Asiku is weathering the storm and taking lots of leather on his elbows before getting back into a rhythm up on his toes on the outside. Choi looks to break that rhythm by simply smashing his way in with left and right overhand rainbows of death. Asiku is looking like he wants no part of Choi on the inside. Wild hook misses by Asiku while pushing up on his toes and circling. Choi just keeps chainsawing in and is getting clocked HARD with counter uppercuts and hooks from Asiku.

Nice round there.

Asiku almost stole it but waited too long to start landing well.
