Why would you agree to giving someone as clueless as Tunde 50%??? Sunny seems a straight shooter tho so he must think there's something in it
This is not the first time a rumour like this has turned up about a trainer / manager. I’m assuming he’s taking 25% for each role?
Doesn't a trainer usually work off 10-15% and managers get approx 25%? Ridiculous if he's taking 50% for both but Yarde has clearly agreed to it.
Tunde is Manager and Trainer, so it’s not going to be less than at least 35% which is around standard. People love to beat up on Tunde, and whilst he is annoying I think the treatment he gets is over the top. I would expect Pat Barrett is taking the same for his services to Lyndon as well. Yarde is the one getting in the ring of course, but he does owe Tunde a lot in fairness. It was Tunde who took him to Frank, and got him signed to a good deal, despite not having any particular amateur credentials etc, due to his longtime relationship Warren. As we know, Anthony has gone onto secure his financial future, despite the relatively weak oppossion outside of Kovalev & Arthur.
Tunde has done a good job for him on the managerial side but just shouting 'LIONS' as part of his tactical advice hasn't done him any favours.
Sunny is very close to Arthur so I’d take anything he says with a pinch of salt. A bit crass to be saying this online.
He's dead out of order if you ask me, why on earth would you say something like that? It's no one's business.
They are doing a public press Conference and tunde or yarde brought up monies so its fair game after that
This is why Groves ditched Adam Booth before the Froch fight. Booth wanted to be paid twice and Groves wasn't having it. The problem with someone being a trainer & manager is there is a conflict of interest. A good manager should be looking to get the best deal possible for his fighter and his sole job should be in the best interest of his client. Should a trainer even be privvy to details like that?
couldn’t agree more. Boxers should want to have the best trainer and the best manager possible. What’s the chances of that being the SAME person? Impossible in my opinion. Let the trainer train and the manager manage, don’t get how the two intertwine.
Never speak on another mans wife/family or money.. But feel free to rip them for a bad haircut They are the rules OK
Agree x2 - trainers wanting to manage their own fighters, manage other fighters - just concentrate on your job. You see people like Penfold managing fighters he doesn’t train. I wouldn’t want my manager spending most of his time training fighters when he should be doing a job for me.
