Expected the odds to be much closer here. Rooting for Edwards, but wouldn't be surprised if this happened, although Alvarado is going up in weight, and fighting in Edwards backyard. The fight itself is a pretty interesting clash of styles. Pure boxer with little power vs. a mean mauling pressure fighter. Very excited for this one.

 

He's also dashingly handsome (I see a bit of Kessler in him) with an immaculate sense of style.

 

Sunny is ugly as ****, guy.

 

Edwards is one of the most overrated fighters in the game. No idea why but i guess those Brits just love to hype up their prospects albeit Sunny has one of the most fraudulent records for a so called World Champion.

Yeah, he's slick and he has some nice skills but he's not as good as many people think. And he can't crack an egg too. He was dropped by domestic level guys and journeyman before so i don't see a reason why a world class pressure fighter like Felix Alvarado can't repeat that. Felix hits like a truck.

Edwards just pulled out a very smart one going down to 112 early in his career - one of the weakest divisions overall - where a guy like Mthalane held a world title for years in his late 30s before losing to Edwards. You can be sure that Sunny wouldn't be a World Champ at 115.

The key factor here is the question if Felix can slow Edwards movement down with non stop pressure, body shots and volume in general. If he can do that - and we saw Edwards slowing down and losing rounds in the second half before - i think he's going to beat the living crap out of Sunny in the second half.

If he just follows Sunny around the ring in the first half and Sunny not losing too much energy i think he takes a 116-112 like decision.

It's a nice fight tho. Great clash of styles. And this fight will finally answer all the questions about Sunny because his record so far is fraudulent.

 

Edwards is a fantastic little Talent he just gets **** because he's a midget with weird hair cuts but I bet he finishes up producing an amazing career

Which fighters do you ever praise, you always speak negatively about most fighters here. Edwards is very skillful as proven when he beat Mthalane who a lot of people thought would beat Edwards. I think Edwards will beat Alvarado pretty comfortably and I only see Rodriguez and Martinez causing him problems at 115.

 

1. Mthalane was 100 years old, super inactive overall and never really that good. Perfect stylistic matchup as well (slow guy with low volume who loves to counter). I picked Edwards in that fight by a mile. And he won by a mile.
2. Edwards is skilled. And i wrote that. You should read more carefully. Talking about a fighter being overrated has nothing do to with him being a bad fighter, having no skills or talking negatively. Not sure why you always come out like a ***** and nitpick on my comments. So **** off.
3. I don't think Edwards will beat Alvarado comfortably. If Edwards slows like he did against Waseem or even Mthalane in relatively low paced fights i think Alvarado will cause him hell in the second half.

As i said...i think Edwards could easil win a decision here. He's a huge favorite too on the betting market so that's not a bold prediction to say Edwards wins comfortably. I think it's more of a bold prediction to say Alvarado can cause him problems if he fights smart and gets his rythm early with the body work.

Sunny's brother was also a good boxer and super skilled. And he was killed by Martinez lol. Martinez btw is also overrated. Just for the record. Joshua is overrated too. There are so many guys out there who are overrated and still pretty solid/good. Apples and Pears, you know.
