Masoud now punishing Bateson as his output has resumed to normality. Bateson really isn't landing much at all here still. Masoud now throwing three pieces, with his right hook now coming into play more. Bateson's head is practically a magnet to Masoud's hands of steel.

 

I think Bateson is about ready to go. Don't give into temptation and play it safe Masoud; go for greatness!

 

Masoud 10-9 round 11, 108-101 overall.
Masoud doing more of the same early, oddly switching to orthodox for a bit and doing quite well there too. After a break in the action he resets to southpaw and continues properly pounding Masoud with whatever punch he likes. A beautiful uppercut is landed to the nose of Bateson which spews blood and another spiffing left that snaps his head around a few seconds later. Masoud then spends the rest of the round on cruise control, just touching Bateson to halt his forward movement.

 

...yup, I have a new guy. Shabaz Masoud.

Bateson throwing everything he can at Masoud as he backs him to the ropes. Masoud still just tucking up but not throwing a lot in return. Bateson's plowing forwards but he slams himself into a counter left that sits him down. He looks ****ed on his legs as he gets up, desperately trying to hang on. A few more shots and Bateson crumbles down but Masoud puts his hand on his back which prompts the ref to call it a slip. Masoud presses again, unloading repeatedly as Bateson cowers in the corner, some more slamming shots to the skull and he collapses into the ropes where the ref rightly waves it off.

 

Yup that was quite the pick, kudos to you. Masoud is a classy operator, I'm keeping a keen eye on him from now on. That British title should be his.

 

Masoud is a top bloke too, very gracious in victory. A properly humble Muslim man, a credit to his community.

I think Liam Davies beats him. Davies is fighting next week against Baluta and he already beat Marc Leach. Andrew Cain is another option.
