Alvarado comes out bobbing and weaving as he usually does and finding some jabs to the body. He's attempting overhand rights and left hooks to intercept Sunny's lateral movement but still mostly finding the guard for now. Sunny tries unloading shots at funny angles but Alvarado's solid guard prevents most from landing. Sunny timing a few intercepting shots as Alvarado wades in. Sunny lands a big right and lands a few more at some cute angles he's cutting. He nicks the round based on the strong finish.

Alvarado now walking into check hooks early but he's realising he needs to hit the body more when he pushes Edwards near the ropes. Edwards pivoting constantly, finding quick and accurate single shots while Alvarado bull rushes in. Alvarado now finding a right hand or two plus a few left hooks to the body. Sunny still sitting at awkward angles for Alvarado to land clean and he's picking off some lovely shots. He finished with a sweet right hook and big uppercut which jacks the jaw of el Gemelo.

 

Great stuff from Edwards thus far.

Alvarado 10-9 round 3, 29-28 overall.
Alvarado is now pressing intensely on the inside and he's slamming shots into the body. Sunny is stuck in the corner for a bit and takes a few heavy shots. He flurries and moves away, trying to prance around and jab but Alvarado is moving his head out of the way of them lots more now. Edwards starts having more success with his movement but Alvarado is catching him as he nears the ropes a lot now.
