It went exactly as expected. An easy win for Yafai.

I'm still shocked that several people considered this a 50-50 fight beforehand.

When I hear Eddie Hearn speak I often think of the pastor at our local church :)

Eddie Hearn has the potential to be a good pastor.

I agree, but each to their own, we have some Edwards fans on the forum. I thought he looked great when he won the IBF a few years back, but a good boxer puncher will always beat a boxer with zero power and that’s what happened last night.

I think Yafai may have always had Edwards' number. With a much longer reach, 5cm height advantage, much more power, and arguably matching or bettering several of Edwards' best attributes it was an easy one to call. I'm pleased with the result as I like Yafai and can't stand Edwards.

He was much faster and Sunny Edwards could not keep up with Yafai's punch combinations.

It's really sad that Galal Yafai doesn't sell tickets because he is clearly the best out of the Yafai family.

Can see Hearn buying him a paper belt and then he will be sacrificed on a US card.

Brummie boxers don't sell tickets. McCracken, Gavin, Macklin, the Yafais. None of them have ever come close to selling out the NEC.

Unfortunately he’s a flyweight, not much of a talker and now Edwards has gone there’s no British rival. Expect he’ll have to go to Japan or America.

Think they’ll need to align themselves to either Birmingham or Villa to get a decent following.

I heard about a week before the fight it would be Sunny's last whatever the result, I think that may change in the future though.

He hasn't lived the life for a long long time so to achieve what he has is quite impressive imo. Was hoping he had one last performance in him but wasn't to be, I wouldn't be surprised to see him fight again a year or two down the line.

You never know he may end up having a dust up with his brother to help swell the bank account before he really does hang the gloves up.
