great tournament- its made not only exciting fights- but superstars out of all these guys. had we no tournament- these guys wouldn t have fought with this kind of regularity- but thanks to this these guys are all trading- theyre all very even- and thanks to 360- we re getting to know them. win lose or draw- after this- they all become legit stars and will all go on to headline ppv events because of this show. i think even the guy who lands at the bottom of the rankings will leave the tournament with his rep intact- especially as everyone has one win- and its been so even.

if only all divisions and boxers were willing to pit it against the rest. a tourament at 140 would be great. as would 154.

they really gotta put together a tourny at 140, HBO must be nuts if they don't have something like this in the works

Tournament has a few quirks, but it makes interesting matchups... The last one was really exiting, especially the end :bbb
But I never expected home advantage to be this huge... I always knew it was an advantage, but this I never expected. No wonder Germans stay in Germany, Brits in the UK and Yanks in the good ol' US of A.
And it's not even that much about 'home scoring' either... 8-0, I guess nobody predicted that one!

But it also gives a next issue... Now all fighters want to fight at home, because of the certainly huge advantage, and now the issue of Ward having all his fights at home... Let's see how that one plays out.

:nut Like if you knew anything about Bute's promoter. You don't even know his name! And you call that a fact...

It's incredible that Dirrell then Abraham and then Froch have all lost their 0's in only 5 fights.
I can't see Green beating Ward but if it were to happen it would throw the tournament right open.
Home advantage has helped but it is only the 2 Froch fights that have been close, I scored each fight 6 rounds all but can understand why that home fighter on both occasions was the aggressor looking to fight.

Great tournament, it's just lacking Lucian Bute.

He is lucky that he doesn't fight some one with the fire power like Frochlozaur and Abrahamer. He might look decent against Ward. Ward might not be at full throttle the way he was with Kessler and by not being embarrassed ... we will say ...hmm not that bad.His defence is not that good(can be easily be outboxed ...easy to hit) if you ask me and it's like he only has 1 punch ..a bad left jab (easy to block to) The only good think about him are those fast explosive hooks. He misses all his shots he is to pasive (you got the impression that he is waiting for something to happen ...someone should ask him WHAT). He has such a bad footwork that he has to check his feet to see where they're going(JK:lol:).When he's going for the ko he swing sooo wide. Not that fast either ... or he has no idea how to use the speed he has cuz i've seen nothing
Kessler migh T/Ko him Abraham Froch Andrade will destroy him.

That's my point, I think home advantage does more then just giving the fighter 'the edge' on the scorecards, or in a close fight... I think they actually fight a little bit better (or more aggressive), get away with more, and his opponent slightly 'underperforms'. So the advantage is a lot bigger than just getting the nod at the end of a close bout.

And I agree with the Bute statement... But he now is in a better position afterall, with the current progression of the tournament.
