You do bring up a good point about Dirrell. The Abraham win should be taken with a grain of salt for the reasons you mentioned. Dirrell is a talent who could beat American-level opponents such as Green, Manfredo, Joppy, Lacy, & Taylor. He will make a decent domestic level fighter in the future with his tlaents.

Why would Dirrell want to establish himself as a Euro-level talent? That would be one step forward and two steps backward. The Euros may have owned the SMW division during recent years, but as of right now, two eyes should be enough to determine who runs the SMW's today. How did so many one eyed folks find their way to this particular thread?

The Euros gift wrapped an undeserved victory for Froch, Abraham was DQ'd very deservedly, and Kessler isn't exactly still in it himself last I checked. I must admit, the two Andres should have never agreed to fight in the first place, and I can assure everybody that they never intended to. Other than that, who exactly IS ****ing this tourney up? To somebody fully aware of the injuries, unpredictables and politics surrounding boxing, the Super Six went about as far as expected. Fans of pugilism tend to have unreasonable expectations and a very significant lack of understanding and perspective on all of this ****.

 

Dirrell is the biz because he is capable of schooling every Euro out there with one hand tied behind his back. He just happens to be from America and the Euros just happen to be from Europe. I didn't write the script, I just called it how I saw it.
