I have been lurking behind the shadows reading here for months.. One thing that has got me thinking?? In reguards to Allen Green 2 gift title shots..

Allen Green loses to vs Ward then goes into his next fight vs Kessler..
Allen Green KO's Kessler or wins via points, takes his WBC belt then doesn't have enough points to progress to the Semi's.. does he get to take the belt out of the Super 6...? Barring a Win or Draw by Dirrell this allows Dirrel, Froch Abraham, and Ward to go on to the semi's fighting for one belt the WBA which Ward holds... (Has someone already brought this senario up???)

Yes, he exits with the belt.

Wow.. my tracking of Greens Carrer leads me to believe that he will fight a bunch of crappy fighters to keep that belt as long as he can.. I mean Bute is right there for him if he exits the tourney with the belt but how many of us see Green fight Bute.. No less fighting him in Montreal... I can't even see Green Fighting Stilegez or whatever dudes name is..

It's mathematically impossible for Green to beat Kessler and not make it to the semifinals, since the tiebreaker is head to head. At least one other fighter would need to have only 2 points.

Edit: I forgot that Abraham has 3 points. So I guess it's still possible for Green to beat Kessler, win the belt and not make it to the semis. For that to happen, Ward would need to beat Green, Dirrell would need to beat Ward, Green would need to beat Kessler AND Froch would need to beat Abraham (or they draw). So I guess it's possible, but pretty unlikely.

The weird thing is, I was thinking the same for a few weeks now, but then again Green beating Kessler would be an upset, not as huge as Ward's but still a good one :good
