    1 month to go.

Currently there is no UK TV deal to show the Froch vs Dirrel fight. Last we heard the highest offer was 100k. For a one off fight going out at 2am, with no tv worthy undercard fights, that is a very good offer.

Currently there is no UK TV deal to show any other Super 6 fights. It doesnt appear that Hennesey is trying to do a deal for the whole Super 6, and is just concentrating on Froch vs Dirrel.

Froch, get rid of the mug pronto.

We have pathetic promoters. It's saddening the only guy who can get good TV contracts is a slug who doesn't want to show the fights we want to see.

Hennessy just doesn't seem to be a man who can get fights on TV. I can just imagine him being at a round table with sky sports, espn, virgin, etc and they're all like "well we want this certain amount of money to show your fight" and he just pulls out a snickers bar and says that's his final offer. Bad promoters are bad.

It's sad. If Froch can't get a channel behind him after his last two performances, undefeated, champion etc then that shows the state of boxing here.

    Hennesey....USELESS

Has there been any mention of the rest of the Super 6 fights being broadcasted here?

I think Hennesey may be the key promoter with the rights for the Super 6 over here if the other fights have no tv deal yet. It wouldn't cost too much money and you are garenteed what is it 11 fights in total if I am right. What would be the cost of getting those 11 or so fights on tv or the rights for the super six in total say maybe £1-3 million in todays market I think could end up getting the UK rights for all of it. It is still early days for them to sort something out but I would hope someone would buy the rights be it Sky , ESPN or even Eurosport.

Does Hennessy own the UK rights for UK coverage of the whole tournament then? Or did you mean he owns UK rights for all of Froch's matches. What exactly does he own?

Why are ESPN not picking this up?

I think Froch should sign for Hatton pompotions, gauranteed exposure, and would be a masterstroke for the hitman.

I don't think anybody knows, but the fact that he seems to be trying to sell the Froch-Dirrel as a single deal might mean he only has the rights to Frochs fights.

I don't think there are rights for the entire tourney; each individual promotor's contract with a given TV network isn't affected. If Setanta was still around we'd have Kessler's and Abraham's fights as they had a UK deal with Sauerland:-(.

This is getting silly now- Hennessey is so foolhardy it's unreal. Accept the money and exposure or end up with egg (and chips) on your face, Mick.

It will be awful if no tv pick this up.

Well that was my assumption. Obviously Showtime have deals in place with all the promoters for the American coverage. But if a UK broadcaster wanted to show all the fights they would need individual deals with Hennessy, Sauerland, Goosen, Shaw and Dibella.

From what I understand, yes. It's Showtime's tourney but they have let the promoter's run with their current deals, it seems. I'm hoping that Showime will release a boxset of the tourney when it's all finished so I can watch it on TV as opposed to watching it on a crap stream on the PC in the early hours.
