Domestic boxing finally returns to Australian free to air television with the new One-HD channel’s “Superboxer” starting this Thursday at 9pm. The card has some solid fights on it with the headliner featuring world title challenger Billy Dib in a Featherweight regional title clash. The undercard sees a mini tournament between Australia’s top four cruiserweights which could likely set up a big fight in the not to distant future as well as one of the countries brightest prospects in the super middleweight division. for the rest: http://angryfightfan.wordpress.com/2009/07/04/superboxer-9th-july-preview/
Fox have just added a channel 531 "One" What a beauty, i thought because i didn't get HD that i wld miss out, now i'll get the fights on 531. Anybody else notice the new channel?
Yep you beat me to it, i came on here now to mention it, i was flicking through the electronic program guide for sports channels, kept arrowing down and the next page i seen one sports, hit select thinking it will say not available or some **** but bingo the ****er worked :happy, now i can stop thinking about buying a set top box to watch the boxing.
This is really the time for all fans to put up or shut up. We are always asking for more exposure for boxing and here is our chance. Show channel 10 it is wanted. Get out to the venues, or if you can't, make sure you and all your friends are watching. If it gets the viewers it will continue! Ray
A couple of sources have informed me that Bolling vs Letoa will more than likely be off for this thursday.
i wonder if Jamie Withers will take on Dom Vea down the road should they both win this thursday....my gut feeling is no.
I'm worried about Jamie pulling out before tomorrow let alone fighting Dominic. My moneys on Ammann should Withers actually get in the ring with him this time (he's pulled out of the rematch four times already I've been told).
