Listen here you pathetic loser...as if moloney would waste his time defending himself to the likes of a moron like you. Maybe i know more about this boxing caper then u yet i dont need to talk **** about others. U are nothing but a lil sarcastic loser that needs to get a hobby.
Papua was trying too hard to be Mr Cool :rasta I must admit when they interviewed him before the fight I thought he was a dude - he seemed very confident - but he spent too long doing nothing in the ring, and to think he won the fight was just ridiculous. Maybe he was a bit concussed from all the accumulative hits he took from Bell. He looked the part, but I don't think he'd done much roadwork - he was tired out throwing 3 punches per round.
apart from main guy doing the intro there is not a decent bloke to listen to.brooks drawls on and beetee is a joke.he is way out out of his depth with boxing. numba 2 was better than 1 all the same.hope it will get better but it mite be 2 late if there is not a series 2.put fighters like zappa on this kinda show not rubbish like dib who beetee kept callin billy the dib kidd.lol
Agreed Angry - nothing worse than over officious refereeing. Some refs seem to be on a bit of an ego trip - more commonly in the amateurs than the pros though - and can spoil the natural flow of a fight. Must say I was disappointed with the Quon fight as a spectacle. Bantams can put on a good show, and we've probably been spoilt with a succession of world class guys at that weight. Credit to Quon for the win (takes him to 7 from 9), but it was not a great fight to watch IMO.
I am in touch with Ron Lipton who is an all round boxing legend, also a great referee who has reffed RJJ, Tua, Holyfield, DLH Vs Leija and a bunch of others. I sent him the tape of the Dib fight and he said "If they want me to come I'll be there" Ron is the best ref in the game that has been frozen out in the states with all the BS politics that go into ref assignments. Channel 10 should get him to come out. He'd be a great interview for the guys on the commentary team also, a knowledgeable historian and has trained with Emile Griffith, Rubin Carter, Ali and many more.
