Besides the obvious one's, which super heavies are far beyond the heavies of yesteryear, especially as far as skill is concerned? Which would be virtually impossible for a 200 lbs heavyweight to beat? Could guys like Primo Carnera, Jess Willard, Buddy Baer, Tony Galento, Ray Impellitare fit into their mix? Why or why not?

No they couldn’t. They didn’t have enough skill, athleticm, technique, amateur experience, combination punching to fit into the mix.

So much for the age of advanced super heavies. I'm betting that Floyd Patterson or Jerry Quarry could beat many of those guys. Sure there are a few exceptions, but it's not like they'd be doomed against all of them

Or at least they'd have as much chance at beating them as they'd have against say Buddy Baer or Carnera

I reckon so, look at the top tens. Most are kinda **** and it would not surprise me if Primo whooped Fujimoto or some such similar level op who is top ten due to the lack of HWs with a pulse to fill the top ten.

I don't think any heavies of the past could handle Breazeale's road combos

Wilder is one punch away from a live body in his prime from losing. Ortiz is fighting soon, if he looses, Wilder's lone quality win becomes suspect.

While Wilder would out box Willard, could he finish him before Willard lands a bomb?

Carnera had some skills. More than some guys who were even with Wilder on the cards.

Buddy Baer looks pretty bad, same for Galento, but they have a puncher's chance.

I think Joshua would clean up on the above. Wilder would lose one or two.

Yeah, put Breazeale in the 50's heavyweight division and there would be trouble ;)

Breazeale would held a Kliitschko like reign in the 50's.

Breazeale puts Primo on a stretcher.

The obvious ones being Parker, Wlad, Ortiz and Takam I presume? After that no one really stands out, skill wise. Both Whyte and Breazeale are crude as they come, and slow to boot (Breazeale especially), Washington has a bit of craft but no heart, Duhaupas and Molina are just big guys, and Molina's plain terrible, Stiverne's just a fat guy with OKish skills but no drive, guys like Gary Cornish and Nikolai Firtha have already been beaten by smaller fighters and wouldn't make a dent in any era, Lyakhovich in his prime was tasty but done like toast when Wilder beat him, and Audley is, well, Audley.

Parker, Ortiz and of course, Wlad. I guess you can include Takam
