Looking again at the side by side videos, I'm more sure. Carnera on points.

He's like a hobo's version of Wlad. Decent enough jab, keeps his hands up and uses space to try and control the action. I also saw a fairly vicious uppercut in there.

I know Willard is durable and strong, but he keeps his hands down and leans into the attack like he's fencing. I see Carnera's jab turning him to pulp. I guess if Jess could force it into a brawl he'd have an even chance.

Looking at their resumes, Carnera's is superior to Willard's.

An old Johnson doesn't make up for the pile of scalps Primo racked up.

Tossing my coin into the Carnera hat.

A Hobo's version of Wlad? LOL I suppose so.

This is the first time I've ever seen you compliment Carnera. You compliment his jab, uppercut and resume.

Next you'll have to start speaking highly of Tony Galento! Or am I pushing my luck

Either Willard would win by stoppage, or Carnera would win a wide points decision.

I think i lean toward a Carnera decision in a sloppy affair.

Galento was game, strong and tough. But as with many other old timers, I feel he's somewhat overrated.

I go with those who post Willard didn't show much of anything except in outlasting Johnson in a finish fight. Carnera isn't going to stop him. That is pretty certain.

But Primo probably wins a 15 round decision in a sloppy, boring fight.

Willard had a better jab, but was extremely inconsistent. Willard at his best could probably decision Carnera, but in anything less than top form Carnera beats him.
