I honestly don't have an issue with Pavlik but it's some of his fans mainly the one that is posting this thread is the reason why i'm not a Pavlik fan or support him. Pavlik in all seriousness maybe good for boxing cause of his style but hey it's not like Pavlik is the only fighter in this world that is exciting lol.

We all want Bute-Kessler for fall 2011, but if Kessler's sight is always a problem, don't be surprise if it will be Bute-Pavlik. In the last weeks, Interbox and Top Rank made a cooperation agreement for business.

Kessler Bute would be incredible but I'd say Kessler definately needs a tune-up, just shake off some ring rust, St. Juste woud give him a good workout.

Bute-Pavlik would be a great fight, but I agree with Booradley, it would be compelling to see Bute mix it with a premier SMW.:good

Funny how Booradley ripped on the 168 pound division ever since the Super 6 was announced.

But now that Pavlik is in it, he loves it.

For me, its Degale V Groves, nothing beats a good rivalry. There seems to be genuine desire to beat the other person & prove a point.

Both undefeated, young & hungry. One a slick boxer & the other a pressure fighter. It has the makings of a classic.

:lol::lol: I know right. He say Froch, Abraham, Ward, Dirrell, Kessler are overrated while Pavlik was still at mw. But when Pavlik decides to move up, now all of a sudden the smw is the best division lol.

    For Booradley.
Not sure if you know the history of Groves - DeGale. In short they were in the same amateur club in London, they were both promising. They had a fight as amateurs which is on Youtube and Groves won. They dont like each other. I wish I could find a G Groves article I read on the subjest.

They both turned pro with many feeling that Groves seemed the better. In Groves 3rd fight he took a bit of a test against P Samuels which seemed a bit of a gamble for someone so early in their career but won in the first round. In Groves 9th fight he beat C Adamu for the Commonwealth title, Adamu had given Froch a close tough fight which could have gone either way. Groves won in 6 rounds and many felt he had gone right past DeGale.
In Groves 11th fight he fought undefeated Anderson and struggled badly being put down before coming back and scoring a stoppage in a tough back and forth battle.

DeGale didnt look great on his pro debut but stepped up his game from his 2nd fight onwards. In DeGales 8th fight he scored a 1st round stoppage over C Dilks who had given Adamu a close run fight. The stoppage seemed early to me, but the result was good.
In DeGales 9th fight he looked brilliant in scoring a 9th round stoppage over P Smith for the British title. This performance has made many feel DeGale has the edge over Groves.

They have both had a warm up and are now meeting as pros. Both deserve credit for taking such a risky fight so early.

Another poster theboy_racer posted them together on a boxing programme called Ringside, here is the thread, enjoy

Bute-Pavlik would make for a spectacular fight. Somehow I think Pavlik will be a huge SMW given the muscle he put on. HUGE right hands coming.

That being said, Bute KO 7 on 3rd liver shot. Pavlik's style is tailor made for Bute.
