Calzaghe was one of the best super middle weights this country has produced in the last 15 years...easily top 5.
If you listen to some arguments Calzaghe would have a better legacy if he had just cancelled the fight and sat on his arse rather than take Pudwell as a late sub.
Calzaghe didn't duck anybody, he tried to fight Mitchell before Ottke did and tried to fight Ottke but he would never hear any of it. There weren't many great fighters at 168 then but when the next supposed superstar came (Lacy), he took him on without hesitation. People forget that Calzaghe was an underdog in that fight. I made a lot of money on that one
