I pick the highlighted names to win: Miranda vs Pascal Pascal is technically superior to Miranda and will be able to outbox him. Pascal by UD. Bute vs Beyer This is the fight where I am most certain about the outcome. Bute by TKO or KO. Beyer has not fought for over a year now, and I'm starting to doubt he'll come back. Ward vs Green Ward is way to 'green' for Green. Inkin vs Froch This is the hardest fight to predict. I have changed my mind a couple of times regarding this fight, but at the moment I am leaning towards Inkin by points, especially if the fight should take place in Germany.
Many Germans here think it won't take place in Germany because Inkin's promoters just don't want to dish out on him. Many Brits think it will be in Britain because Hennessy want to build Froch up to take over from JC...that is why they keep on associating Froch's name with Joe, by calling Joe out. My money is on this fight being staged in Britain, in front of at least 10,000 people...one of whom would be me! :happy
10,000?? Can't see that mate. Not unless Warren wins purse bids and puts it on one of his undercards again :rofl
Froch fought in front of 6,000 against shot Reid...now, I know Reid is a film star and all, but it was not a World Title fight......Froch will not be fighting only in front of his Nottingham faithful, but many people, like me, would travel to see this fight.
I'm not so sure. Most big boxing fans from the UK have never seen Inkin fight. I would liken this to Joe Calzaghe vs Mario Veit. An undefeated fighter who is unknown in the UK. The difference with Reid was that he was very well known. I'd be prepared to sport a Bute avatar for a month if a Froch-Inkin main event drew anything near 10,000. IF Calzaghe had vacated and moved up by then AND the fight was for the WBC then MAYBE... Where would the fight take place to get 10k?
Nottingham Forest FC, of course...I am not sure the Ice Arena holds that many people, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it did. "You would be prepared to sport a Lucian Bute avatar?" That is a privilege, not a punishment! :deal Bute avatars are only for winners!
Kessler should have to take a back seat for now. He needs to re-establish himself before getting another title shot. But if Joe relinquishes the 3 belts then I guess he'd figure for one of them. Inkin-Froch will be for the WBC interim title while Mundine is effectively WBA interim holder. The WBO may only be up for grabs.
It depends where the WBA rank him and what Mundine does...Mikkel might get a title shot in 2008 still. Even the WBC might ask that he fight an eliminator to become mandatory challanger to the winner of Inkin v. Froch, once Joe vacates....
Here's another fight that has been announced... IBF Eliminator: Vitali Tsypko vs. Robert Stieglitz (winner meets Lucian Bute)
