Robinson, with ease, as he would do equally easily against the rest of the fab 4. Different class to ALL of them.

Bad thing....SRR as a MW can be all over the scale.....Tiger Jones, Turpin, Fullmer, Basilio.

I assume we are talking the WW SRR.

After retiring and coming back as a middle after a fight a month for well over a decade??? Yeah, he was "all over the scale" :nut
In Roberto's wheelhouse of prime he got 'dumped' by Estaban D.
Let Roberto or Leonard or Hagler or Hearns, etc. fight once a month for 12 ******* years and see what their records would have been?
Oh, and did I mention an 85-0 record before turning pro in what, 2-3 years??
    Next stupid a r s e thread.....

There were reasons why SRR lost to Tiger Jones, Turpin, Fullmer, & Basilio. He let outside events effect his boxing career. He won the MW title 5 times, but the 5 is basically created by losing it 3 times. Plus Tiger Jones ran Robby basically out of the ring....and Robby never gave him a shot at the title either.

Based on what old boxing writers and some of the greatest fight trainers in the history of the sport have said( most of them have passed on, maybe all). You got to go with Robinson. Most of them have said Robinson at welter was the best fighter theyd seen. And thats during the haydays of boxing, when their was a lot of great fighters around. But a motivated Duran would not be easy for anyone at that weight. Including R.R.

Robinson was well past his prime against Jones, Fullmer and Basilio.

Yes, he lost a close decision to Turpin when he was closer to his prime. Still, he was 10 years and 130 fights into his career and it was only the second time he'd tasted defeat.

Robinson at his best would beat Duran, definitely.

Robinson at his best at WW would arguably beat anyone who ever fought at the weight.

I think Duran would give him a heck of a fight. But yeah, Robinson would win.

Montreal Duran's the only version of Duran that has a chance against SRR. Still favoring SRR, but Montreal Duran could give him some serious trouble.

In a one off fight Duran stands a damn good chance, SRR in any subsequent rematches. Death, Taxes and Robinson in the rematch.
