For the record, that doesn't always work, especially if the guy you're facing is a puncher. It might just **** him off. If that's your game plan, that's one thing, but if you intend on going after him, that's a good way to get knocked out.

Virus, I'm telling you about the bodyweight excercises for your own good. You think that you're invulnerable at this point, there may be a time in your life in the future where you regret not following my advise. I hope this isn't the case. I hope you live a strong and healthy life, but knowing what I know now, I would never tell anyone to lift weights. My own son, if ever there be, would not lift weights and would focus on mastering his own bodyweight.

If I see my opponent hunched over, and "appearing" to be sucking wind, I myself get a second wind and a healthy dose of encouragement. Personally, I also like to play the mental game. Even when I'm dead tired, i'll start each round looking like I can't wait to get started. I'm convinced my mental game has provided tangible benefits in at least a couple of my fights.
Yes, I talk about this phenomenon as well, I call it the "vicious cycle" and it is actually a big part of the elite game. You "fake it until you make it" with your posture and forward momentum, and when your opponent shows signs of weakness, it makes you stronger - and as a result, your opponent seeing you stronger makes him feel even weaker... and the weaker he shows, the stronger you get... and it all may start with a bluff of how you feel. Nobody is a mind reader, they only know what you show them.
Isn't it common sense that you don't show weakness in any sport that has direct competition, especially one where your opponent it trying to hurt you? Showing obvious fatigue in sparring is a huge huge mistake and a bad habit. You train yourself to mask how you feel. I just use self-talk to make myself feel like the other guy is more tired than me, and therefore me being tired doesn't matter. ("Look at that mother****er trying to pretend he's not gassed, I'm gonna destroy him next round.")
