Before you think im some kind of bitter AA fan this is nothing to do with tonight but much the entire tournament that we have seen so far Personally i don't have a preference who wins it as i don't really prefer any fighter over the other but the odds are stacked in favour of the home fighter whoever it may be we have seen it in every fight so far Taylor cant hit AA body in Germany without the ref calling it a low blow, Dirrell robbed in the UK when he clearly won the fight Froch allowed to rough him up and throw him to the ground and rabbit punch without punishment, Ward allowed to consistantly headbutt and hold Kessler in US and then tonight, oh you're pinned on the ropes Andre i better get you off there since im the personal hometown hired referee that we have in every fight. I just hope one of the visiting fighters can somehow overcome the huge rigged odds stacked against them, look for Froch to be robbed in Denmark against Kessler next, just bet on Kessler he can't possibly lose if he gets KO'd they'll probably call it an illegal punch! I was hoping AA would win tonight not because i like him anymore than Dirrell but because its nearly impossible for the visitor to win.
It's gonna have to be via KO if the visitor's gonna or one of the absolutely lop sided 12 round beatings. AA didn't even get a KD counted for him.
The tourney was stacked in favor of the Euro's, but its back firing. Dirrell and Ward have exposed the two favorites, and Froch is an eventual epic fail.
Eventual? He already failed in the Dirrell fight, just got a gift decision. Abraham was always too small to win this, and too unskilled. I called tonights fight perfectly in kirks thread (minus the DQ).
Ward got all 3 fights on home soil in what way is that stacked in favour of the euros? Its stacked in favour of the home fighter on that given day.
This tournament is turning out to be a huge downer for me. Kessler outclassed. Dirrell robbed, Froch a turd. AA outclassed and classless. The question of whether or not Dirrell was faking. :-(
Here's how: They took two experienced, top 168 pounders (Kessler, Froch) and arguably the best 160 pounder (Abraham) and put them up against two young fighters who were both just only becoming contenders (Ward, Dirrell) and a has-been (Taylor). As I recall, the first round predictions were overwhelmingly for the European fighter. Most Euros were crowing that a 3-0 clean sweep was inevitable.
