    Don't bother replying except in this format:

    Winner of Group Stage 1, Fight 3 (Kessler vs. Ward) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Winner of Group Stage 2, Fight 1 (Dirrell vs. Abraham) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Winner of Group Stage 2, Fight 2 (Kessler vs. Froch) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Winner of Group Stage 2, Fight 3 (Taylor vs. Ward) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Winner of Group Stage 3, Fight 1 (Dirrell vs. Ward) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Winner of Group Stage 3, Fight 2 (Froch vs. Abraham) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Winner of Group Stage 3, Fight 3 (Kessler vs. Taylor) with method. Points Earned/Winner's Total Points

    Total individual points tallied after Group Stage, with top four seeded for semi-finals.

    In example, here's mine:

    Group Stage 1, Fight 3: Kessler UD Ward - 2pts (2)

    Group Stage 2, Fight 1: Abraham KO Dirrell - 3pts (6)

    Group Stage 2, Fight 2: Kessler KO Froch - 3pts (5)

    Group Stage 2, Fight 3: Taylor UD Ward - 2pts (2)

    Group Stage 3, Fight 1: Dirrell D Ward - 1pt each (1/1)

    Group Stage 3, Fight 2: Abraham KO Froch - 3pts (9)

    Group Stage 3, Fight 3: Kessler KO Taylor - 3pts (8.)

    Total individual points tallied after Group Stage, with top four seeded for semi-finals:

    Top seed: Abraham - 9 points (3x KO victory)
    2nd seed: Kessler - 8 points (2x KO victory, 1 UD victory)
    3rd seed (tie): Taylor - 2 points (1x UD victory)
    3rd seed (tie): Froch - 2 points (1x UD victory)

    Eliminated:
    Ward - 1 point
    Dirrell - 1 point

    So then obviously Abraham and Kessler would face the lower-seeded semi-finalists rather than each other. How this is to be determined is unclear. Since Froch has a prior win over Taylor (albeit not in the tournament) I guess for argument's sake for now we'll seed him 3 and Taylor 4 to break the tie. In the above scenario, both the bottom seed semifinalists will have already lost by KO to the top two, so it won't much matter how they're paired up.

    Obviously Kessler-Abraham in the finals.

    Kessler KO10. :D

    I think that being KO'd the most times with make you the bottom, but since you made Froch and Taylors fate identical. I would simply go by who had the most difficult road which in your example is Froch.

    So AA-Taylor, Froch-Kessler.

    I agree with how you think it plays out. Exempt that Kessler wins all his fights on KO, because - well - he is just better. And if he can knock out AA, then Ward will be lights out in half the time frame, which is my bet.

    here's mine:

    Group Stage 1, Fight 3: Kessler UD Ward - 2pts (2)

    Group Stage 2, Fight 1: Abraham UD Dirrell - 2pts (5)

    Group Stage 2, Fight 2: Kessler KO Froch - 3pts (5)

    Group Stage 2, Fight 3: Taylor UD Ward - 2pts (2)

    Group Stage 3, Fight 1: Ward UD Dirrell - 2pt (2)

    Group Stage 3, Fight 2: Abraham KO Froch - 3pts (8)

    Group Stage 3, Fight 3: Kessler KO Taylor - 3pts (8)

    Total individual points tallied after Group Stage, with top four seeded for semi-finals:

    Top seed: Abraham - 8 points (2x KO victory, 1 UD victory)
    Top seed: Kessler - 8 points (2x KO victory, 1 UD victory)
    3rd seed: Taylor - 2 points (1x UD victory, Knocked out twice)
    3rd seed: Froch - 2 points (1x UD victory, knocked out twice)
    3rd seed: Ward - 2 points (1x UD victory)

    I dunno who fights who and who gets eliminated :nut

    In your scenario, it would give alot of headaches, and they should skip the semis, and go right to the final, because that is all that matters.

    Yup the 3 bottom seeds really are useless in this scenario.

    Oh yeah, helpful IB funfact: on ESB if you want to have the number eight followed by a close parenthesis, you should use a dot.

    (8.)

    Otherwise vBulletin will interpret it as the Cool Smilie:

    Because the weaker fighters (all the Americans) face each other so they're gonna be picking up points, while some1 like Carl Froch has to fight both Kessler & Abrahams in consecutive fights.

    it would be great if everyone fought everyone!
    so u have a genuine top 4!

    Yes, silly_illy, those claiming to be the best fighting the best available opposition to prove who is the best is totally unfair. :nut

    Stage 1

    Taylor - Abraham [Abraham KO = 3pts]
    Froch - Dirrell [Froch Decison = 2pts]
    Kessler - Ward [Kessler Decision = 2pts]

    Stage 2

    Dirrell - Abraham [Dirrell UD = 2pts + 0pts = 2pts]
    Kessler - Froch [Kessler KO = 3 pts + 2pts = 5pts]
    Taylor - Ward [Ward Decision 2pts + 0pts = 2pts]

    Stage 3

    Ward - Dirrell [Dirrell decision 2pts + 2pts + 0pts = 4pts]
    Froch - Abraham [Abraham KO 3pts + 0pts + 3pts = 6pts]
    Taylor - Kessler [Kessler KO 3pts + 3pts + 2pts = 8pts]

    AS you can see from my predition:

    Abraham = 6pts
    Kessler = 8pts
    Ward = 2pts
    Dirrell = 4pts
    Froch = 2pts
    Taylor = 0pts

    QUESTION: Assuming my prediction scenario comes true and at the endd of the first 3 group stages the points are as follows. we know that taylor would be out, but because Ward and Froch both have 2 points who will advance? They cant have a box off to decide because it will take atleast a few months right? my guess is the froch would be out too becuase his decision was a SPLIT DECISION

    I'm sure they've thought of this and there is a contingency they will roll out in case of a points tie if it comes up as the Group Stage winds down and seeding approaches. It'd be nice if they told us in advance what that contingency is. :yep

    And cheers for keeping everything consolidated. :good

    I'm taking a shot in the dark but something similar happened in contender season 3 with the points system and they took into account how the fight was won either via SD or UD which ultimately got the SD contender eliminated. a box off would be the ideal solution but not one they will pick.

    My predictions are almost identical, the only difference is that I have Ward beating Dirrell (and I had Dirrell UDing Froch in the 1 stage). If your predictions become reality, both semis will be rematches.

    Showtime did state that there will be a measurement system for ties, so I think its safe to assume, UD > SD, TKO5 > TKO 12, etc, etc.

    the dirrell and ward one is the only one I feel unsure of. to be its a toss up and either one of them can win but I deffinatley see it going to a decision. It can easily be the deciding fight of which one of them makes it into the top 4 which is gona make it so interesting becuz they would actually be going for the KO
