Agreed. Iced was an overstatement, not originated by me. Things would not go well for Pavlik if he was in this thing, I'll say that much.

Okay let me get my arms around this thing. You're angry because Bute's left out, he's Canadian, and you're Canadian. However, I think being Canadian is reason enough to disqualify a guy anyway (just kidding, calm down). As for the rankings....I just posted them above. Very clownish of me I'm sure. And I am looking at a list of Bute fights. It shows that he has not fought outside of CANADA for over 4 years. But you're right, he did fight a couple of other cab drivers in the U.S. I missed those, sorry.

    opinion respected, of course :good

but i disagree and think pav has a better chance to do well and would actually be a better fit than a lot of those fighters. the kess that fought joe would give him trouble and a ward as well if he brings his "a" game. the others i think pav can beat.

I'm not angry that Bute is not in the tournament. He will take the winner of it, probably on HBO, if he beats Andrade and Pavlik. As for the rankings, you should know that the ones you posted are not a good reference. For multiple reasons, the orgaizations rankings are not accurate. For example, Froch is in only one association because he's a champion. Does that mean he's not in the top ten? Perdomo was Kessler's mandatory. Was he really the number 2 of the division? I hope you see the point. Independant rankings are more accurate. A single one means nothing but a bunch of them do mean something.

What I dislike of you is your tendancy of spitting on the other boxers to make your point. Froch, for example, is a good warrior. I had serious questions about his boxing abilities and he responded to them nicely. Of course, he was close to lose but he found a way to win, that's part of boxing. He went to USA and that was a great and courageous move. That doesn't make all the other boxers sissies as you like to say.

    By fighting Paul Williams?
I don't know who came up with the idea of matching Kelly vs Paul, but it doesn't look like a very good strategy. And that's a huge understatement. I personally think Kelly will lose convincingly and ay opt for retirement after the beating.
Couldn't they just give him a (few more) tune up(s)!?:huh:roll:

his last fight saw him ***** slap a mandatory into quitting on his stool.

paul likes to trade and contrary to what a lot of people say, and while he can move and is a tremendous athlete and talent, will stand in front of you while he throws his bunches. pav has stopped every mw to ever get in the ring w/ him. kelly will catch paul and the rational thing to say is "we don't know what will happen when he catches paul" and the foolish thing to say is "pw is GOING to win convincingly" when you don't know how he's going to take pav's power.

Pavlik wasn't invited ****-wit, but you already knew that. Sauerland could not let Pavlik in HIS tournament. That would completely destroy the abraham myth.

Pavlik would beat Ward half to death. Andre is simply not ready to be tested the way KP tests people.

Pavlik/Taylor: JT catches a beating, and gets stopped again.

Pavlik/Abraham: KP would expose that hype job in 5-6 rounds.

    Pavlik/Dirrell: ludicrous:patsch

Pavlik/Froch: Pavlik KO5 Froch, maybe quicker.

Pavlik/Kessler: great fight. I'd lean toward a UD for closer, but a late tko by either man would not surprise me. If it went to the cards, MK would probably get the nod.

and considering bhop would beat anyone in this tourney, its not a valid argument to say pav would be beat the way the best lhw and one of the cagiest ****s to get in the ring beat him.

    Dawson, I doubt it
    Pavlik is fighting Paul Williams
Bute, I could see him being in there
Bika I think should be in there, he needs some matches.

Well I think Paul's defense IS his offense.
Kelly will not get set to fire off because Paul's punching from all angels all the time. So I think Kelly will inevitably HAVE TO trade punches with Paul because Kelly isn't counter puncher. And I see Paul easily getting the better of this.
