i hear ya. but again, paul is no defensive wizard a la bhop. both of these guys throw a **** ton of punches and neither one is hard to find. like boo has pointed out, while this fight lasts, we may see 200 punches a round. its going to be quite a show.

You make valid points about Dirrell, but I still think he's got enough speed, angles, and punch output to trouble Hopkins... not sure who wins that one though.

A point about Ward... yes, he is green, but he's talented as hell and Hopkins isn't the kind of fighter I see beating Ward. I actually see Ward as a younger, quicker, more active version of Hopkins. Ward's weakness is going to be strong, pressure fighters who throw in combination and don't allow him to set up. Hopkins/Ward would be a chess match that I see Ward winning based on activity.

At least we both agree that Hop's style would make fools of AA and Froch.:good

Pascal all the way. He is fighting at 175 right now but am sure he could get back to 168.

Other than that - I agree with the start of this post and think Bute and Bika make good replacements.

I think Bute not being in this tourney is disappointing especially as he is ranked #2 on boxingrec...

Oh yeah? Good...cuz I was going light on Pavlik. He'd get absolutely SPANKED in this thing. If not spanked, bitchslapped! Ignorant enough for you? I wouldn't be surprised if I've seen twice as many Pavlik fights as you. Look at the events surrounding Pavlik recently.

This sounds very plausible. Good thinking.

Let`s explain why Bute didn`t receive an invitation to SMW Super 6.
From the start it`s obviously there is a flaw with the name of the tournament. Why super 6? Because so says Showtime. Before other explanations , congratulations to the american sport chanel for trying keeping the pace with HBO.And now, here`s the reasons.
-For having bussiness success in present and future americans generally and Showtime especially need american champions mostly.Let`s watch all divisions and all categories regarding champions: we see only three big names Mayweather, Pavlik and Dawson with first and third suspissioned of ducking dangerous fighters as Cotto or Diaconu. So they choiced three competitors, meaning half of them americans with the hope they will have some champion at the most hot division:two young hopes plus Taylor whos shame with Froch is still fresh in our minds.Wow, what a chance is to be born in USA!
Now let`s see why Bute and the champion of WBO didn`t receive an invitation. Because the three non-americans have a better pedigree this moment:Kessler is considered no.1 in SMW. Abraham has an impressive resume and number of fights and Froch is the winner over american big disapointment Taylor.
So we have the big picture. Two reasons are important for televisions:being american and/or being a well recognized champion. The tricky thing with super 6 is that they can rise their fighters as well as they can bury them for good.

BUTE`S NOT RELUCTANT FIGHTING THE BEST!Watch his statements.

    no its not

pav wasnt invited...look who was the major player in putting this together?? the same guy who's fighter was supposedly begging pav for a fight at mw and the same guy who got kess away from palle.

you think he was gonna ask pav to fight in this thing also?? how about the fact that if pav beat aa in the tourney, after all that talk about pav refusing to fight him at mw, then aa's ppv days would be over? and since sauerland is the guy i was referring to, and sauerland represents aa and NOT pav, then sauerland's pockets get affected if aa loses to pav. ever think of that? why would sauerland want a mw w/ pav's resume in the tourney when sauerland stands to gain nothing financially if pav does well and beats one or more of his guys (kess would be a helluva fight but i'm not sure pav beats him yet)
