Realistically there are 4 match ups possible for the semis. It all depends on who wins and how they win. The only 2 fights we cannot see is Ward/Abraham and Green/Johnson II Which 2 fights would you rather see in the semis? Scenario 1 Ward/Green II & Abraham/Froch II Scenario 2 Ward/Johnson & Abraham/Froch II Scenario 3 Ward/Froch & Abraham/Johnson Scenario 4 Ward/Froch & Abraham/Green
I'd like to see scenario 2. Ward and Froch are my two favourite fighters at super-middle so I'd like to see them both get into the final. How would scenario 2 come about? Would Froch have to beat Abraham or lose to him? EDIT: So if it's Ward 6 points Froch 2 Abraham 3 Green/Johnson 0 Currently, if Froch beats Abraham, assuming neither Green or Johnson score a knockout, he'd be facing Abraham again? Yeah, I'd take that.
scenario 3 Ward froch will be interesting (ward wins) Abraham vs Johnson could be entertaining with their aggressive styles
It's going to be 1 or 2, Ward-Green 2 is pointless. Unless Green-Johnson is a Ko/TKo AND Froch loses then we'll see Abraham-Froch 2, could also be pointless if 1 dominates!
By the way, am I the only one is convinced that Froch will leave the tournament should he lose to Abraham? I don't think Arthur would, but it seems to be setting up for a Froch withdrawal.
I though we had more scenarios than that.... Currently don't we have: Ward: 4 Abraham: 3 Froch: 2 Green/Johnson: 0 So after a KO win for Froch and a Glenn Johnson win we would have: Froch: 5 Ward: 4 Abraham: 3 Johnson : 2 Which gives us a Froch/Jonson and Ward/Abraham semi-final.
This. Although can't Abraham still top the points chart's if he knocks Froch out, by virtue of having 6 points aswell, but also 2 knockouts?
I tought the Super Six just said that Ward having 4 points cannot NOT be in the semi-finals, so he doesn't need to fight. Basically, instead of going through the trouble of finding yet another replacement they let him 'skip' the fight, knowing that 4 points is enough to get him in he semis no matter the scenario.
