- Froch and Dirrell both gave a pathetic performance resulting in one of the worst fight in the last decade. - The favorite (Kessler) lost a shutout in his first fight. - The biggest name of the tournament gets KO the **** out of the tournament just to be replace by some loser who's never defeated a top 20 ranked opponent. - The Super Six is forced to move his big April 17th broadcast because even tho the Super Six is big... it still can't compete with HBO. - Several fights postponed for all sorts of reasons including injuries. - We're barely 6 months into the tournament and they're already weeks (months?) behind schedule. In other words, the Super Six has not lived up to the hype.
it seemed like it was the us fighters vs the across the water cats....the guys over in europe hate eachother.... when jeramine got taken out...ward and dirrell got cooler than ever.. it's like a comic book.... that 360 **** showtime had spinnin was good ...not like 24/7 but still some nice work. it was lots of recaps though..... instead they should be showing dirrell gettin better ...abraham looking like a robot mook...froch training and pretending to be cool with black people... have the viking warrior training with his new trainer....and thier meeting and introductions... all of the meaningful ****... show some of green coolin all thugged out runnin to some jay z.. and froch's girlfriend sucking either his dick or someone elses... yeah.... it was ruined a long time ago.
Re:Andre Ward has reportedly pulled out of his April 24 SUPER SIX clash with Allan Green due to a knee injury. Sounds like a classic case of Caprine Arthritic Encephalitis (CAE). Doesn't look good for Ward.
i agree, it's too spread out maybe use younger up and coming types, that fight more often a way to build a house hold name out of guys that no one knows
The length of time between fights is already too long, it's lost it's luster and steam already. There should have been more immediacy to this thing, fights every 3 months. Keep it in the public eye. This thing is one more injury or guy pulling out from scraping the whole deal.
Once every four months is pretty ambitious for fighters at this level. They need time between bouts. Way too much over reaction.
By the way Hermit, I've heard somewhere that there were plans for Bute to be in Dallas last weekend for the Pacquiao fight and for the Pavlik-Martinez Press conference. But HBO though it was a better idea for Bute not to show up. They're scared that if Pavlik sees how big Bute is. He'll never want to fight him. I think all that is bull**** but that's what I heard on the radio this weekend. :yep
I know, but HBO seems to think that Pavlik is reluctant to move up to 168lbs to fight Bute. I guess they don't want Pavlik to realize that Bute could be as much as 18-20lbs heavier then him in the ring on fight night. :yep
I heard an interview with Loew on a local radio station a while back. Bute has been on Pavlik's radar for a while now. They said no more weight jumping until they are ready to move up to 168 for good after the Hopkins fight. They will stay at 160 for another year IF they can get meaningful fights. For Bute to come in 18/20 pounds higher than Kelly he will have to be entering the ring at close to 200 pounds. I dont' think so. Kelly came into camp at 186. That is 18 pounds over 168 already.
I might be wrong but if I remember correctly, Pavlik rarely step into the ring higher then 166-168lbs. At least that's what the HBO scale shows during the tale of the tape. Bute steps into the ring at 185lbs.
Kelly fights at 160, but often steps into the ring at Lt. Heavy. He has put on 10 pounds of muscle to his walk around weight since he won the title. Kelly came into camp at 185. Jsimps said he was a SOLID 185, not a FLABBY 185. When he moves up and fights at 168 don't expect him to be out weighed by many on fight night. You can PM jsimps. His information is much more accurate than mine.
