Now Green is talking trash saying that Ward will never fight him

I'm surprised it was not Green that cancelled.

its because everyone are a bunch of pussies now.

tyson defended his title 6 times in 12 months.

ever thought thats why the average joe doesnt know a welter from a light heavy? not sure how you are a boxing fan when 2 fights a year from a champ meets demands...and then most of the time when 1 is wasted on a guy like kessler fought b4 ward or the people sturm fight, thats ok.

u guys havent seen a good fight in so long that ur just happy they are in the ring and doesnt matter who or when they fight.....alot of people will lose interest...half the guys on here...they have been talking about this tourney for almost a year now..how many fights have there been? this thing is already failing

so you thin 2 times a year is ok? if thats the case and your stance is fights at this level need more time to charge up...how much time do you need if you are a champ fights absolute cans? yeah u have a war like abraham and miranda..i get ya....put frock vs dirrell where no one barley landed a punch? i dont buy that.....
problem is...the bare minumum to keep faces on tv would be fighting 3 times a year on tv... heres some of the champions...and what they did last year

    wlad- 1 fight in 2009
    huck- cruiser 4 fights :good:good
guillermo jones WBA champ NO fights in 2009 and none 2010
fragomenni- WBC cruiser 2 fights in 2009
chad dawson- light heavy champ 2 fights in 2009
pascal wbc champ 3 fights :good
abraham- 3 fights- 2 wasted on junk 1 vs taylor
    bute- 2 fights
    kessler 2 fights
    pavlik 2 fights-
    cintron- 3 fights
    foreman 2 fights
corey spinks- ibf champ 1 fight
    paul williams - 2 fights

    welters
    pac 2 fights
    cotto 3 fights
    mayweather 1
    berto 2

    bradley 3 times
    hatton 1 time
    khan 3 times
    nate campbell 2 times
    devon alexander 2 times

my take, is once you get to this level and you get a title and only fight 2 times a year...wouldnt you want to fight the best? why waste it on something that can be taken care of in the gym....
i remember tyson defending his titles 6 times in a 12 month span....

Wtf is everyone crying for, dam thing started in Oct with 2 fights another fight in Nov, if your crying for boxing in December get a life, Jan & Feb Off months with another fight set to go off in 2 weeks this month. Thats roughly 4 fights in 5months

Whats everyone want? How about a 1 night 6 fighters "Diggstown" style.

thats when it actually started...when the **** was it announced? i believe it was starting to be hyped in april of last year....while we were still waiting for that absolute sham of a kessler fight against the WBA #1 contender which oim sure no one knew his name then or now...so when its all said and done...you will get 2 fights maybe from each guy...i guess if that is enough for you, its all good....but you would think these tough guys could muster up 3 fights for the sake of their own sport

I don't have a problem with hyping this thing through last summer, I do agree that a Sept start date would of been better the tune up fights for Kessler (yeah I dont know his name) and Ward against Pudwill were BS.

Your going to get more then 3 fights from each, the guys going all the way to the finals are going to fight 5 times over 2 years, who at this caliber does that these NOBODY.

5 fights in 2 years? all im saying is "if that happens" then great...but in reality that averages 1 fight every 5 months...i just dont see how we should be in awe of that....ive been watching boxing since 1985....so these guys now we have to beg to fight each other and the need 6 months between fights

you have not a clue about how boxing works. at the top level, 3 fights a year is very hard on the body, 10 weeks out from the fight is just boxing 24/7, that is not alot of time. look at the top level the money is massive. If your a HBO fighter there all hard fights and a fighter need time to recover.

Stopped reading here. Every 4 months is 3 times a year. If you can't get that right I'm not going to read the rest of your 'logic'.

The other problem is that if there's another problem with either Ward or Dirrell the tournament can get out of sync... for instance the winner of Abraham - Froch will have a long abcence of the ring before they can fight their semi final matchup.
